Hai già iscritto un figlio/a sopra i 16 anni ad un corso di inglese per 2022/23? Che fortuna! Tuo figlio/a è socio e può andare alla Rassegna del Cinema Americana presso Cinema Super (ingresso incluso nel tesseramento).  Minori di 16 anni non possono andare alla Rassegna Cinema. YOUR Membership Card for the Associazione Italo Americana FVG is VALUABLE!    Already renewed for 2022/23? Thank you!  Please pick up your card at the Association.  If you have the plastic card, bring it into the Association and we will update it and print the new year on it.     Did your register your son/daughter under age 16 for an English course for 22/23? Congratulations! You are as a parent have become a member and can take advantage of the opportunities that your card offers! Did you register your son/daughter over age 16 for an English course for 22/23? What luck! Your child is a member and can go to the American Film Series at Cinema Super (entry is included in membership).  Children under age 16 cannot attend the movie series at the cinema.   Still need to become a 2022/23 member? You can renew or register for the first time ONLINE with a credit card.  Of course if you prefer, you can always come to the Association during office hours and pay cash. FANTASTIC GIFT IDEA! Give a membership to your friends, husband/wife, kids 16 and over, university students.  It's always a great experience to go to the cinema, eat popcorn and see a film in original version. Social Security FBU in Trieste September 20th

 

The U.S. Federal Benefits Unit (FBU) will be in Trieste on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 for INDIVIDUAL APPOINTMENTS.  

INDIVIDUAL APPOINTMENTS by RESERVATION ONLY.  HERE is the ONLINE RESERVATION LINK.  

The FBU provides services for the 

• Social Security Administration, 

• Department of Veterans Affairs, 

• Office of Personnel Management, 

• Railroad Retirement Board, 

• Medicare, 

• Department of Labor

Services to the public are: 

• applications for retirement, disability, widows and dependent benefits; 
• applications for Social Security cards;
• processing of benefit changes (i.e., address, death, direct deposit, etc.).

Do you need to APPLY for  SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER (SSN/TIN)?  Here is a LINK with the details of the documents that you will need to bring with you.

We promised you Piazza Unità as a stage and here we are! 

📣 BREAKING NEWS! We have been invited to perform on the main stage in Piazza Unità at MAKER FAIRE 2022 on:

• Saturday, September 3rd  3:15 pm (ore15:15)
• Sunday, September 4th, 3:15 pm (ore 15:15)

Ukulele Club participants - start practicing our standards - Three Little Birds, Tram de Opcina and anything else that we might play!  Please come and show the world your new super power!  

We also have a stand at Maker Faire.

All Ages and All Levels are Welcome to participate in our FREE Meetings.  

Registration is requested.  

Membership in the Associazione Italo Americana FVG is not required, but appreciated.

We are not professionals.  Most of us just picked up a Ukulele a few months ago.

Our Uke Masters are volunteers.

We encourage participants to practice at home and meet with others to play together outside of meetings. 

ENGLISH is our working language.  Meetings and songs are mostly in English.

We have a WhatsApp group, in English, where we share songs and chord sheets.

We're getting ready for Maker Faire Trieste 2022 in Piazza Unità on September 3-4, 2022.  

In collaboration with TRIESTE-EMERGENZA-UCRAINA. 

At least 12 million people have fled their homes since Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

More than 5 million left for neighboring countries, and 7 million people are thought to be displaced inside Ukraine. Over 140,000 Ukrainians found safety in Italy. (UN July 4, 2022)

American Corner Trieste opened its Maker Space to Ukrainian Makers for crafting and fellowship.

About our Activities for Ukrainian Displaced People in Trieste with the support of the US Department of State:

- English Classes - some Ukrainian women and children are in our English classes. 
- Support activities - The talented Ukrainian Crafters produced items for Barbacan Produce on June 19th.  .
- Collection - Cell phones, laptops, tablets (used but in working order) are needed.

Check your expiration date to avoid surprises.     Federal Benefits Unit.
