U.S. Mission to Italy Speaker Program

Would you like to know more about culture, society and daily life in the United States? Here is an opportunity for you and your school!

You can engage directly with our U.S. diplomats and American community in Italy. The U.S. Mission Speaker Program brings American Officers from the U.S. Embassy and Consulates as well as American citizens living in Italy together with Italian secondary school and university students. Speakers and students engage in a dialogue about a wide variety of topics and aspects of American daily life through lectures, entertaining discussions, Q&A sessions, and a variety of other formats.

Programs begin in January 2024 and may be conducted in-person or virtually. The program is free of charge to participating schools. The programs take place in English, from Monday to Friday, in the morning or early afternoon and can last approximately 60-90 minutes.

Please note that the participation of speakers is based on availability and scheduling. We require at least one month of lead time to accommodate speaking requests.

For any further questions on this program, please contact Romeculturaloffice@state.gov
