In 2020, the U.S.
celebrated the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment
and women’s constitutional right to vote. Approved by the Senate on June 4,
1919, and ratified in August 1920, the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S.
Constitution marked one stage in women's long fight for political
equality.
