December means #Home for the Holidays. Have a happy and healthy break. November was a busy month with our move Online due to the Covid-19 health emergency. We have important news from our Annual General Assembly Meeting.
ACTIVITIES and COURSES – Online due to Covid-19 health emergency
ENGLISH CLASSES for Members
Thank you all (students, parents, teachers) for making the move online successful! It was a challenge and the process is still in evolution to give you the best possible learning experience.
We have been making phone calls to families for feedback. Your encouraging comments and suggestions are much appreciated!
The last lesson of the Fall session is on Tuesday, December 22nd. Each section will have completed 10 lessons. We hope to have you all back with us this Winter.
Our online system includes:- Lessons sent ahead of time via email
- WhatsApp groups for each section to facilitate communication with the teacher
- Zoom platform
Calendar for Winter Registration (Courses will remain ONLINE until further notice)
Dec. 7-19 – Online Registration / Payment Opens for those Currently Enrolled to confirm their classes on the ONLINE LINK , using the account you created in Fall. If you have difficulty you can call in the morning or send an email (calls 9-12 starting Dec. 9th).
It is possible to pay: - ONLINE by Credit Card
- In the Association with CASH payment during our morning Office Hours (Monday to Friday 9-12).
Dec. 21 – ONLINE LINK OPENS for Registration / Payment Opens for NEW Members for WINTER. Remember that we are an association and parents, with children under age 16, must become members. If your child is 16, the student must be a member.
Jan. 11 - Winter Session Courses Begin
GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING OF MEMBERS 2020/21
We had our 1st Virtual Assembly Meeting on November 19th. Thanks to all who participated either live or via proxy. During the meeting, The Balance Sheet and Budget were approved and the below changes in the Board were made.
Leonardo Buonomo resigned as President after 10 years in the position. He will remain on the Board. Karoline Steckley was elected as the new President.
Gabriella Di Landro, after many years as Vice President, has left the Board. Luisella Brugiapaglia was elected as Vice President.
Janine Sprague Zolle, teacher at the Associazione Italo Americana FVG for 15 years, was added to the Board and elected Director.
We thank Leonardo and Gabriella for their many years of dedication and we wish Karoline, Luisella and Janine all the best in their new roles!
AMERICAN FILM SERIES 2020/21
Because of the closure of cinemas and theaters, the series has been postponed, awaiting government decrees on the reopening. The films will be recuperated.
DECEMBER HOLIDAYS
CLOSED December 7/8. No lessons. No Office Hours.
Fall Lessons end on Tuesday December 22nd.
CLOSED for Christmas Break: December 23- January 6th, but you can reach us via email at aia.fvg@gmail.com
For Administrative Assistance, you can find us in the office from Monday to Friday 9-12 or via email during the break.

GEORGIA Absentee Voters are encouraged to vote ASAP in the Runoff Elections for the 2 seats of the Senate. Send your ballots back to the US directly, applying Italian postage or via express courrier service.
STEP – American citizens living and travelling abroad can register in the in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program and receive email updates and advisories from the US Embassy to Italy. US Citizens enrolled in this site also receive periodic invitations to webinars for American citizens in Italy. |
