Every Wednesday evening at 8:00 PM, American Corner Trieste / Associazione Italo Americana FVG opens its doors to great cinema with Lit Flix 2025, a free film series in original language inspired by masterpieces of American literature. From June to July, each screening is a chance to discover (or rediscover) unforgettable stories that made the leap from page to screen.

June 18 – Little Women
Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic. A timeless story of sisterhood, growth, and artistic and personal aspirations in a changing America.

June 25 – The Wizard of Oz

Based on the book by L. Frank Baum, a fantastic journey through Oz with Dorothy, her dog Toto, and a group of unforgettable companions. A cinema classic.

July 2 – The Great Gatsby

From F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel, a dazzling and decadent film capturing the spirit of the Roaring Twenties—jazz, luxury, and broken dreams. With Robert Redford and Mia Farrow.

July 9 – One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest

Adapted from Ken Kesey’s novel, this powerful drama set in a psychiatric hospital explores rebellion, power, and freedom—one of the most acclaimed films of all time.

July 16 – Where the Crawdads Sing
From Delia Owens’ best seller, a haunting story set in the marshes of North Carolina. A blend of mystery, coming-of-age, and visual poetry.

Kids Flix 2025 – Free Cinema for Kids in Trieste every Wednesday at the Associazione Italo Americana.

Summer 2025 brings magic and fun for little ones with Kids Flix 2025, a free film series for children based on classic children’s books, organized by American Corner Trieste / Associazione Italo Americana FVG. 

Every Wednesday at 5:30 PM, starting June 18, the Association’s venue will host screenings of timeless kids’ films in original language.

👉 All films will be shown entirely in English with English subtitles—a perfect opportunity to learn while having fun!

Screenings take place at the American Corner Trieste / Associazione Italo Americana FVG in a family-friendly and welcoming space. Here's the full schedule:

June 18 – Charlotte’s Web by E. B. White
A touching story of friendship between a young girl, a piglet named Wilbur, and a very special spider, Charlotte. A timeless classic celebrating kindness and the power of words.

June 25 – Horton Hears a Who! by Dr. Seuss
Lovable elephant Horton discovers a microscopic world on a speck of dust. With determination and heart, he shows us that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.”

July 2 – The Peanuts Movie, inspired by the comics of Charles M. Schulz
Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the whole Peanuts gang return in a colorful adventure full of laughs, dreams, and small big wins. Perfect for all ages!

July 9 – Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
An imaginary journey into the world of wild creatures, seen through the eyes of Max, a boy seeking connection and adventure. Based on Maurice Sendak’s iconic picture book.

July 16 – The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg
A thrilling holiday train ride to the North Pole that celebrates the magic of belief, imagination, and the holiday spirit.

Kids Flix 2025 Trieste film gratuiti — cinema per Bambini Gratuito a Trieste Ogni Mercoledì all’Associazione Italo Americana.

L’estate 2025 si arricchisce di magia e divertimento per i più piccoli con Kids Flix 2025, una rassegna gratuita di film per bambini, basati su classici libri per l'infanzia,  organizzata dall’American Corner Trieste / Associazione Italo Americana FVG. Ogni mercoledì alle 17:30, a partire dal 18 giugno, la sede dell’associazione ospiterà proiezioni di grandi classici del cinema per ragazzi in lingua originale.

 Tutti i film saranno proiettati interamente in inglese con sottotitoli in inglese, un’opportunità perfetta per imparare divertendosi!

Una commovente storia di amicizia tra una ragazzina, un maialino di nome Wilbur e un ragno molto speciale, Charlotte. Un classico intramontabile che celebra l’altruismo e la forza delle parole.
