What is AI?
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of a computer or a robot controlled by a computer to do tasks that are usually done by humans because they require human intelligence and discernment.
Why is AI important in education?
We will look at the advantages and disadvantages of this new technology and how it can be used by both teachers and students to enhance teaching and learning.
This conference will be led by Collin Bjork who is a Senior Lecturer in English and Media Studies at Massey University in Aotearoa New Zealand. In 2012-13, he was a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Montenegro, and he is currently a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. Collin is researching artificial intelligence and writing, and he’s working on a book about rhetoric and podcasting. He is also executive producer of Pod Uni, a podcast about podcasting.
