CIOFS FP FVG in collaboration with Associazione Italo Americana FVG / American Corner Trieste is getting ready for the third edition of CIOFS ENGLISH WEEK March 28th to April 1st 2022.
CIOFS ENGLISH WEEK, a 5-day English immersion program where all lessons are held in English with the support of teachers and external experts, will include SECOND class of the ACCOUNTING TRACK.
Program objectives include:
- giving students a Full immersion English experience here in Trieste- encouraging positive classroom dynamics in preparation for their first internship which will begin the week after the immersion
- giving instructors a professional development opportunity as they teach and interact with students and guests in English
Outside experts:
Stefano Attruia (ITA): ex-basketball player at the international level (for teams such as AEK Athens, Olimpia Milano, Real Madrid and Virtus Bologna). He coaches women’s basketball and teaches entrepreneurship at CIOFS FP FVG. Languages: Italian, English.
Denise Tecchio (USA): coordinator of American Corner Trieste. Languages. English, Italian, French.
Joshua Gidcumb (USA): a retired US Air Force explosives handler. Languages: English, Italian, and German.
Judy Moss (UK): president of the British Film Club. She is a retired teacher from the University of Trieste. Languages: English, Italian, French, German.
Konstantina Mavroidakos (GRE, GERM): graphic designer and teacher of English and German. She is originally from Greece. Languages: Greek, German, Italian, English, Spanish.
Klementina Koren (ITA): entrepreneur specializing in Marketing and Communications and Crisis Management. Languages: Slovene, Italian, English.
Alice Onor (ITA): English teacher at the Associazione Italo Americana and in the public schools. She studied in Ireland and the University of Trieste. Languages: Italian, English.
Janine Sprague Zolle (USA): teacher at the Associazione Italo Americana, children and adults. Languages: English, Spanish, Italian.
Eric Russell (USA): professor of Linguistics at the University of California. He is in Trieste working as visiting professor at the University of Trieste. Languages: French, German, Flemish, Italian, Slovenian, Spanish, and English.
Jacopo Berti (ITA): Italian teacher for Caritas. Languages: Italian, English, French, Urdu (a bit!).
Carrie Pierson (USA): director of the International School of Trieste in Opicina. Languages: English and Italian.
John Thomas (USA): educator and teacher of basic IT at CIOFS FP FVG. Languages: English, Italian.
At the end of ENGLISH WEEK, the class will support a two-day U.D.A. (learning unit), a multidisciplinary test on professional skills that simulates real work activities to be carried out in simulated companies, which will see a broad involvement of the English language within the tasks that the students will have to perform.
