US Citizens.  Drop off your Absentee Ballot Envelopes in the Absentee Ballot Drop Off Box at the American Corner Trieste -

The envelopes will be sent postage free to the US Consulate Milan via Mailboxes, to be included in the Diplomatic Pouch leaving the consulate daily and going to directly to the US.  

  • Mailing Departures from Trieste at 9 a.m. on: September 28, October 5, 12, 19, 26.  

  • After October 26th at 9 am, you will need to send your own envelope and affix the appropriate International Postage.

  • Our hours for Drop Off:  Mon-Fri 9-12, 16-19 and Saturday mornings 9-12. 

If you haven't registered to vote and requested your Absentee Ballot, go IMMEDIATELY to www.fvap.gov  In some states, you might still be in time to register.  

We encourage you to VOTE EARLY. RETURN YOUR BALLOT EARLY.

You didn't receive your ballot?  

First contact your local Voting Bureau and ask them to resend it via email.  If you still didn't receive it, go online and fill in a FEDERAL WRITE-IN ABSENTEE BALLOT

AMERICANS ARE INVITED TO ONE LAST VIRTUAL VOTING ASSISTANCE EVENT FOR THE 2020 ELECTIONS

 

EVENT:  The U.S. Consulate General in Milan, in conjunction with the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP), is hosting a virtual voting assistance event for U.S. citizens in Italy.  We will provide information on the absentee voting process and other consular services and answer some frequently asked questions:

·                  How do I register to vote overseas?

·                  Is it too late to vote?

·                  How do I send my completed ballot back to the United States?

·                  Are absentee ballots actually counted?

·                  How early does my ballot need to arrive?

·                  Can the Embassy/Consulates postmark my ballot?

·                  How do I renew a U.S. passport?

 

The event is open to all U.S. citizens in Italy - please help spread the word with others who may be interested.
