The Local Group Coordinator organizes periodic seminars and workshops in Trieste and online. Participation is Free of Charge for TESOL members and for 1st time attendees. 

In 2020/21 TESOL meetings will move to ZOOM and feature international experts, sharing their experiences.

TESOL ITALY's mission is


  • to develop the expertise of those involved in teaching English to speakers of other languages

2020/21 US EMBASSY VIRTUAL SPEAKERS in ENGLISH

The US Embassy is offering a Virtual Speaker Program in ENGLISH with American officers from the US Mission to Italy.
The program is dedicated to Middle School and High School Classes.  It's a great opportunity allowing the Embassy to speak in schools, that in the past they could rarely or never visit for logistic reasons.  
 
Teachers can select one or more topics about the United States.  The presentations are in English, usually with the support of a PowerPoint Presentation..  Usually the guest speaker does a 30 minute presentation. followed by questions and answers. 

US Presidential Elections could be an interesting topic for grade 12 / 13 students.  In addition, the Embassy proposes these titles.
