FAMILY STYLE THANKSGIVING DINNER
Saturday, November 29, 2014, 7:30 pm

(Yes, we know that Thanksgiving is officially on Thursday, November 27th).   
 
It was so much fun last year, that we’re repeating the format this year! 

LIMITED to 100 participants.  2014/15 MEMBERS ONLY.

RESERVATION and PAYMENT REQUIRED to block your place.
      Contribution €15 for Adults,

      €5 for children age 12 and under. 

The Association will be cooking the Turkeys.  The rest is Potluck 
  • North Americans bring assigned Hors d'oeuvres and Side dishes. 
  • Non-North Americans bring Dessert. 
  • All participants bring beverages (wine or whatever you prefer to drink) and their appetites. 
 Live music by the Five plus One Group with Judy Moss. 

We will need volunteer crews for American Cooking School, Set-up and Clean-up!

A Few Words about our Courses


First A Few Words About Our Courses.

We offer courses at all levels during the ENTIRE year (except August).   Fall and Winter courses  last 12 weeks and Spring 10 weeks.  You can sign up for just one session, or you can continue all year long. 

Our courses are generally practical and conversation oriented, but we also promote reading, listening and writing skills.  We always like to keep things fun and interesting.  You go to school or work all day long, so your English class should be a treat!  For questions about courses and/or levels, please call or stop in the office.

Offriamo corsi a tutti i livelli durante TUTTO l’anno (tranne in agosto).  I corsi d’Autunno e d’Inverno  durano 12 settimane e in Primavera 10 settimane.  Ci si può iscrivere a solo un trimestre, oppure, volendo, continuare tutto l’anno.  I gruppi sono piccoli.  I nostri corsi sono indirizzati verso la conversazione, ma naturalmente promuoviamo anche le abilità di lettura, ascolto e scrittura.  Ci piace rendere le cose divertenti e leggeri.  Si va a scuola o si lavora  tutto il giorno, allora frequentare un corso (sia per lo studente, sia per l’insegnante) dovrebbe essere un piacere!

On November 24, 2014, the Head of US Consular Affairs from the US Consulate General Milan will be in Trieste to offer CONSULAR SERVICES for US CITIZENS (passport applications, notarial services, Social Security Number card applications). 
 
3-5:30 pm– Appointments for US CITIZENS (passports, notary services, Social Security Card Applications) - by appointment. Contact aia.fvg@gmail.com to set up an appointment.

6-8 pm Question and Answer Session –. No Visa application Visa issues can be handled. Open to the public.

In order to get detailed information on: forms, procedures, and applicable fees, please visit the US Embassy website at http://italy.usembassy.gov/acs.html. Passport application forms should be filled out on line and printed out in advance of the appointment.

Consular service fees for passport or notarial services will have to be paid for by an assegno circolare (cashier’s check), issued by an Italian bank in the exact € amount of the fee, and made out to the U.S. Consulate General Milan. We will not be able to accept cash or credit cards for payment.

In you are interested in applying for a Social Security Number Card, these applications will be accepted as well. These services carry no fee, but applicants should be instructed to speak to the Federal Benefits office in the US Embassy in Rome (which handles Social Security matters) beforehand and get a list of all the documents required to support the application. US CITIZEN SERVICES in Trieste - Nov. 24, 2014

On November 24, 2014, the Head of US Consular Affairs from the US Consulate General Milan will be in Trieste to offer CONSULAR SERVICES for US CITIZENS (passport applications, notarial services, Social Security Number card applications). 
 
3-5:30 pm– Appointments for US CITIZENS (passports, notary services, Social Security Card Applications) - by appointment.

6-8 pm Question and Answer Session –. No Visa application Visa issues can be handled. Open to the public.

In order to get detailed information on: forms, procedures, and applicable fees, please visit the US Embassy website at http://italy.usembassy.gov/acs.html. Passport application forms should be filled out on line and printed out in advance of the appointment.

Consular service fees for passport or notarial services will have to be paid for by an assegno circolare (cashier’s check), issued by an Italian bank in the exact € amount of the fee, and made out to the U.S. Consulate General Milan. We will not be able to accept cash or credit cards for payment.

In you are interested in applying for a Social Security Number Card, these applications will be accepted as well. These services carry no fee, but applicants should be instructed to speak to the Federal Benefits office in the US Embassy in Rome (which handles Social Security matters) beforehand and get a list of all the documents required to support the application. Se dovrete richiedere una carta di Social Security, i moduli possono essere consegnati. Questo servizio e gratuito, ma sarebbe opportunot parlare con il Federal Benefits Office dell’US Embassy Rome (che gestisce le procedure di Social Security) in anticipo e procurare i documenti necessari per la domanda.
