FEBRUARY – An extra day of fun this Leap Year!
We get an extra day of fun this February and there is an activity for each age group! Join us for American Cooking School, Black History Month, Storytime, Coffee Break or the Cinema…of course, English classes continue too.
CARNIVAL VACATION
Our Office / Library will be closed on February 20th, 21st 22nd for Carnival. No library or office services on these dates. Elementary, Middle School and High School classes will not be held. Adults – please talk to your teacher.
BAKE SALE!
To Bake? or To Buy? That is the question. Thanks to all who participated either by baking or buying our yummy creations. We collected €180 in donations which go towards purchasing supplies for Storytime and special activities in the Association.

February 10th– The Tuskegee Airmen – WW II story of 450 black pilots who fought both in Europe and Asia.
February 17th The Massachusetts 54th Colored Division – Heroic division of African Americans in the Civil War
February 24th – When I Rise – A black soprano is cast to co-star with a white male, causing racial backlash in Texas
SATURDAY STORYTIME, via Roma 15, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
We are all having a great time at Storytime. Jennifer and our volunteer team of mother tongue Mommies / Daddies are keeping everybody engaged with stories, songs and crafts. Call the office and make a reservation. Only 2 appointments in February (due to Carnival vacations and related post-Carnival recovery period!) No stress, just fun. One family member must be a member. AMERICAN COOKING SCHOOL
A foodie tour of the US without leaving Trieste. This initiative has been made possible thanks to the sponsorship of the US Embassy Rome and US Consulate Milan. Andrea, ESL teacher and professional chef teaches a hands-on cooking course of US regional specialties: El Paso: Tex-Mex, New Orleans: Cajun, L.A.: California Fusion. For Members Only. Dinner (prepared by you on-site) and recipes included! Come by the office to book and pay. Limited availability. More details on our blog. Tex-Mex (all spaces filled) is on February 2nd. We are now accepting registration for New Orleans: Cajun (March 15th).
