JULY / AUGUST  Summertime and the Living is Easy!
It’s summer, but we are still going full speed ahead.  Mark your calendars for:  July 4th Independence Day Celebration, Summer Cartoon Festival on Wednesdays, Summer  Reading Competition for all ages.   We also offer Summer STEAM for kids from Pre-K through High School and Intensive classes for Adults and Weekend Warriors. 

SUMMER HOLIDAYS – We will be closed from July 31 until August 17.  Need some information during the break?  Send us an email at aia.fvg@gmail.com.

SUMMER LIBRARY HOURSThis Summer the Library is open for checkouts on Tuesday and Thursday mornings 9-12 and Wednesday afternoons 5-7pm.  Our volunteers at the American Corner Library are out at the beach in the afternoons!  A big round of applause to all for our volunteer staff!

July 4th - 8 pm - Beat the heat and enjoy a Saturday evening Cookout at Bagno Dopo Lavoro Ferroviario at Viale Miramare 30.  Prepaid Reservations required by July 2nd.  €15 – Adults and €5 – Children 12 and under.  Fun, games and activities for kids.  Open to all with a reservation.

July 7th – 6 pm – Monrupino Gym – Cheer for the team of your choice!  TEAM USA or TEAM ITALIA.
The team will then move to Maribor for the International Competition

SAT EXAM PREPARATION – Contact us if you will be taking the SAT to go to the university in the US.  We are setting up a summer class.  Need to prepare for the TOEFL?  We can help.

I LOVE READING – Summer Reading Contest –until September 7th
Every time you check out a book, you get a sticker.  Fantastic prizes at summer end by age group: You could win a Kindle, an Illustrated Dictionary, Stickers.  Adults can participate too!  Avoid the Summer Slide.  Research proves that students can lose up to 3 months of learning progress during the summer.  Read! Our young readers are winning so far!  High School and Adults!  Check out a book!

SUMMER CARTOON FESTIVAL – Wednesday afternoons at 5:30 p.m. American Corner Trieste – Free and OPEN to the PUBLIC. Take a break!  Cartoon Feature Films in English for all ages.

AMERICAN CORNER TRIESTE – Programs, consultation of the library, public internet access computers, and Wi-Fi are always free and open to the public.  A great place to study, meet friends, bring your kids.  The US Department of State has granted us a Gold Standard rating in terms of programs, facilities, services! In addition to our regular library, we also feature and Education Advising Section, Children’s Corner Library and Women’s Space. 


Remember that we are a volunteer organization.  We are looking for people to work in the afternoons at the Front Desk, manage library checkouts, mentors for teens and a variety of other roles.  Contact us!  We’ll keep you busy!
