The Week Ahead - Jazz Appreciation, Poetry Month, English Conversation Club, Teen Makers, Ukulele Club.

As per national Covid legislation, we still require Green Pass Base (12 and over)  and registration for all who enter the Association.

Here's the Plan for the Week

April 1-30  - Photo Exhibit The Jazz Ambassadors.  Free

April 7, 10 am - Film - A Great Day in Harlem Documentary (90 min.) -  You can also watch online from home at this LINK

The story behind the iconic picture: Harlem 1958, featuring all the Jazz Greats in NYC at the time.  

April 8, 10 am - English Conversation Club - the last meeting of this school year.  Registration required for NEW participants.

April 8, 4 pm - Teen Maker Space. Free and open to Middle and High School Students.  Registration required for NEW participants.

April 9, 11:45 am -1 pm- Ukulele Club. Free and Open to the Public.  All Ages.  Registration required for NEW participants.  

Come at 11:00 if you are new or if you want some extra practice.  This week our Featured Song is:  I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For by U2.  We will also play our fixed songs:  Three Little Birds and El Tram de Opcina.  Click on Ukulele Club for links to the chords and videos of the songs.

April - Jazz Appreciation Month, Poetry Month, UnitedWithUkraine, Spring Classes, Ukulele Club, American FIlm Series: Free Guy.  We are a Cultural Association with indoor activities.  Italian legislation still mandates the Green Pass and a Face Mask to enter the premises and to go to the theater.  We will be  CLOSED from April 14th-19th and on April 25th.  SPRING 2022 ENGLISH COURSES   Spring Session began on March 28th. There are some places available.  Questions? We will soon launch more projects for refugees of all nationalities in the area, thanks to the support of the US Embassy to Italy. 5.   HOW DOES UKULELE CLUB WORK?

• It's FREE of Charge (We are a Non-Profit Association and Ukulele Club is run by volunteers, BUT... it would be nice if you would become a member and help support our programs - HINT. HINT. HINT).
• Meet every 2 weeks (depending on holidays)
• Learn 1 new song for each meeting. 
• Once we get better, we could even form solo groups, prepare songs and to perform at the “Open Mic” during the meetings!
• Practice Makes Perfect!  Our space is free in the mornings Monday-Friday  from 9-1.  Feel free to come in and practice.   
• Flash Uke?  Do you want to play with your new friends? Post it on the WhatsApp group and plan impromptu meetings in cool places like in Osmizzas! or at Barcola! Your own home or yard! How fun is that!  Kudos to Silva, Valeria and Marino for our first Flash Ukulele Mob last Saturday in the Giardino Pubblico!
