February 2021 – The shortest month, but packed with activities. 

Join us for Winter English Classes and Virtual Activities in honor of Black History Month. See you on What’s the Buzz this Week? A Chat about Amanda Gorman Help us celebrate the 60th Anniversary of AIAFVG. Register your kids for the Random Acts of Kindness Challenge.  

 
ACTIVITIES and COURSES continue ONLINE due to the Covid-19 health emergency, until further notice, according to the Prefect of Trieste.  We will return to in person lessons and activities when possible. 
 
CARNIVAL VACATION – No Lessons, Admin or Activities – Feb. 15-20
 
AIA FVG 1961- 2021 - 60 YEARS YOUNG.  BE A PART OF IT!
3 generations of Triestini have been connected to the Association. 
We’re planning a celebration when we can meet in person.
Think:  AIA FVG Alumni Association – Events - Documentary Film.
Share your memories with us.  Tell your friends and family.

Did you take a US Study Tour? Attend lectures or programs?  Read every book in the Library?  Do you have old photos or diplomas?

ENGLISH CLASSES for Members
Thanks to those who continued with us the WINTER!  If you took a break, we’re ready to welcome you back in SPRING (starting April 7th).
 
NEW! Online BEGINNER CLASS for ADULTS
The class starts on February 2nd at 10 am for 5 weeks.  If your child takes a class with us, you’re already a member.  Yes.  You Can.  Why Not?  Register now.  This class remains ONLINE.  Call on Monday morning or write an email if you have questions.
 
Online Individual Lessons for Adults and Children are always available.
 
Our online system includes:
  • Small Classes
  • Lessons sent in advance via email
  • WhatsApp groups for each section to facilitate communication with the teacher
  • Zoom platform

 It is possible to pay: 
  • ONLINE by Credit Card
  • In the Association with CASH payment during our morning Office Hours (Monday to Friday 9-13)
  • With Welfare Aziendale
Remember that we are an association and parents, with children under age 16, must become members.  If your child is 16 or over, the student must be a member.
 
AMERICAN FILM SERIES 2020/21
Due to the closure of cinemas and theaters, the series has been postponed, awaiting government decrees on the reopening.  The films will be rescheduled.
 
ONLINE EVENTS
 
The American Corner is offering ONLINE ACTIVITIES. The Themes for the Month are Black History and Random Acts of Kindness.
 
eLibraryUSA – Temporary Remote Access – Request your personal access code today.  American newspapers, magazines, videos, children’s resources and databases available remotely only during Covid-19 (afterwards only in the American Corner).
 
NEW!  Mondays at 11 am – What’s the Buzz this Week?  New Buzzchats with Karoline and Denise and Special Guests.  New Topic each week with special guests.  Be part of the buzz in English.  Only 20 minutes a week.  On Facebook LIVE AIAFVG and AC TS and later on our YouTube Channel

US CITIZENS
STEP – American citizens living and travelling abroad can register in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program and receive email updates and advisories from the US Embassy to Italy.  US Citizens enrolled in this site also receive periodic invitations to webinars for American citizens in Italy.
 
Vote from Abroad. You must request overseas ballots every year.  Do it today and don’t miss a single election this calendar year. 
 
US Passport Renewal.  Check your expiration date to avoid surprises.  Adult passports can be renewed by mail.
