AIA FVG ENGLISH COURSES
SUMMER STEAM
Full Immersion English Mornings for Pre-K, Elementary, Middle and High
School. We start the week of June 19th. Registration is Open and Space is
limited. Here is the link to the Summer STEAM
Schedule. 4 Weeks – 2 at the beginning of
the Summer and 2 before school starts. You
can take just 1 week or as many weeks as you like. Great for Native Speakers too!

NEWS
Are you a writer? Anyone can submit a Fiction or Non-fiction work in
English (max 1000 words). We’re launching
a magazine in English. Deadline for Submissions: May 8, 2017. Issue 0 in June 2017.
Thanks to all who participated and visited our exhibit! The Abbington
Friends School in Pennsylvania held the exhibit simultaneously.

MakerBot PRINTER and SCANNER –
Our Maker Space is now complete. We have
made a few 3D creations. Come down and
try it out. If you need a 3D Printer for
a project, we can arrange for you to use it on Tuesday or Thursday mornings and
Friday afternoons. Send us an email!
Starting on May 9th, Futurosa, in collaboration with
the Associazione Italo Americana FVG, is offering a special mini-basketball
course in English for boys and girls born in 2008/09/10. Special Price for AIA FVG Members. There will
also be a 1 week Summer
Basketball Camp.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
GLOW –24 hour Sleepover for Middle and High School Girls
May 6-7, 3pm-3pm. The
second year of G.L.O.W – Girls Leading Our World. 24 hours of girl power, mentoring, learning,
fun. Lead by a team of Super Women. Registration

VOLUNTEERS
We are a Volunteer Run Non-Profit Association.
Volunteers
run our Library, American Corner Programs and Activities. We are looking
for Volunteers to Mentor and Manage the Teen Club, Assist with
the Nati per Leggere program, Work at the Cinema, Help
with our Morning Activities. Send us an email. We’ll
find a role for you. University of Trieste students in
Humanities or P.R. can earn Internship
Credit Hours with us (CFU). We accept students with a minimum of 75 hours (3 CFU).
You'll have a great experience and improve your English, while you learn

AMERICAN CORNER TRIESTE – Programs, consultation of the library,
public internet access computers, and Wi-Fi are always free and open to the
public. A great place to study, meet friends, bring your kids. The
US Department of State has granted us a Gold Standard rating in terms of
programs, facilities, services! In addition to our regular library, we also
feature an Education Advising Section, Children’s Corner Library and Women’s
Space. Consult our on line catalog of Books and DVDs.
The American Corner also offers English and Life Skills Courses for
Refugees thanks to a U.S. Government Grant.
