Volunteers work in all sorts of roles from Front Desk
and Library, to Moms & Babies, Teens, Book Club, Coffee Break, Short Story,
Documentaries, Teacher Learning Network, Family Film Festival, American Film Series, American Film
Series, Made for Each Other, Thematic
Film Series and Conferences, and last but not least… the Cleaning Crew. Without
you, we couldn’t exist.
AMERICANS CAN VOTE. WHEREVER THEY ARE. If you are an American citizen,
even if you never lived in the US, you still have the right to vote. Please go to www.FVAP.gov and fill out the Voter Registration and Absentee Ballot Request
Form. We will send a Diplomatic Envelope
to the Consulate on July 5th. If you
wish to save postage, bring your completed form to the
American Corner by July 4th. Remember to Sign it!
The American
Corner is teaching special English courses thanks to the contribution of the US
Embassy to Italy / US Consulate General Milan.
The objectives are Beginner Basic Communication and Intermediate Job
Readiness.

AIA FVG ENGLISH COURSES
Hands-on opportunities to learn
English and other things by doing! For
Pre-K, Elementary, Middle School, High School.
Great for both Native and Non-Native English Speakers. Project Based Learning with focus on Science,
Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math – all in English! Come just 1 week or as many weeks as you want. The theme is different each week. Sign up early. Space is limited.
The next session is June 18-19, 2-7 pm on Saturday and
Sunday. 10 hours of intensive English
over the weekend. Objective: English Fluency!
Too busy during the week? This is
for you. Start communicating in English,

ADULT FULL IMMERSION:
NINE to FIVE – July 25 – 26 - 27
24 hours of practical English in 3 days – Monday to Wednesday
9 am – 5 pm. A full immersion English
class without leaving Trieste. Organize
your schedule. Improve your English and
be like a Rock Star in your office. Take your English confidence on the road on
a fantastic summer vacation. You can’t

of LGBTI Persons, Judy Shepard – Matt’s mother, Michele Josue – Film

SURVIVAL ITALIAN - Tuesdays from 10 – 10:30 am. Meet Moms, learn some Survival Italian in an
informal setting. Bring the Baby!
PLAYDATE in English – Thursdays from 10 – 11:30 am
– Meet Moms. Hang out in our baby
friendly space and let the kids play together.
NATI per LEGGERE Bilingual Storytime Reading for ages 0-3 years with Moms or Caregivers. Thursday, June 16th, 10-11 am. Give your baby a head start on life. Read together! It’s good for your baby and for good for you.

SUMMER LEAGUE BASKETBALL – All in Sport – June 21-24 at Palasport di Aquilinia. Enjoy great basketball for free. Exhibition games with Italian and foreign
players who are trying to Pro Contracts in Europe. (31 American players plus other nationalities).
PASSAGGIO in INDIA con USIS – Museo d’arte Orientale – A collection of USIS photos (1939-1950) from
the Fototeca dei Civici Musei di Storia e Arte.
India as an emerging democracy with its contrasts and beauty.

The Associazione Italo
Americana FVG / American Corner Trieste is run by 60 volunteers. If you
are a University of Trieste student in Humanities or P.R., you can get
your Internship Credit Hours with us (CFU). We accept students with a
minimum of 75 hours (3 CFU). You'll have a great experience
and improve your English, while you also learn valuable and people

problem. We'll find a role for you!
AMERICAN CORNER TRIESTE
– Programs, consultation of the library, public internet access computers, and
Wi-Fi are always free and open to the public.
A great place to study, meet friends, bring your kids. The US Department of State has granted us a
Gold Standard rating in terms of programs, facilities, services! In addition to
our regular library, we also feature an Education Advising Section, Children’s
