This presentation focuses on developing intercultural and global competences through contemporary literature and film clips. Starting from some relevant theoretical insights we will deal with shorter literary texts and film scenes to introduce class activities, with the aim of fostering our students’ cultural sensitivity, critical awareness and reflexivity.
SPEAKER: Dr.ssa Barbara Lapornik, M.A., comes from Trieste, where she is currently the vice- principal, European project manager and EFL exam tutor at the Liceo Scientifico “France Prešeren”. She has a twenty-year-long experience in coordinating international projects and student exchanges. Her main interest is intercultural student education and she served as TESOL ICIS past chair.
