BACK TO SCHOOL! AIA FVG ENGLISH COURSES

FALL 2017/18 CLASS SCHEDULES for KIDS and ADULTS

FALL English Classes for All Ages and All Levels starting on September 15th.  Fall Session lasts 12 weeks.

Registration Links are available online.  If you are new, we will offer a mini trial lesson before our regular lessons begin.  You can register your child or yourself for a FREE TRIAL LESSON the week of September 4^th before the courses start.  Trial lessons ARE NOT offered during our regular courses.  Here is a link to the Rules for Classes. 

HIGH DIVE Full Immersion English Week for Adults without leaving Trieste! 

Sept 4-8 -   5 mornings – 20 hours of Full Immersion. OBJ: Fluency.

WEEKEND WARRIOR Full Immersion English for Adults. 

Sept. 16 & 17.  1 weekend, 10 hours of Full Immersion, Infinite Fun.

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS are possible all year long.  Yes you can! Schedule an appointment to discuss your needs.

2017/18 - AIA FVG MEMBERSHIP

Our 2017/18 Membership Year begins on September 1^st.  Here is the Membership Form.  Membership prices remain unchanged.  Euro 25 – Ridotto for Students 16 and over, Teachers and 65 and over.  Euro 35 – Intero.  Membership is valid until August 31, 2017.  Renew your membership each year to take advantage of the American Film Series, Register for Courses, Use our Library, Participate in Members Only Events.

37^th AMERICAN FILM SERIES at Teatro dei Fabbri

The film series begins on Thursday, October 26^th.  The dates are set and the film list will be published in October.  9 great American films in Original Version.

VOLUNTEERS

We are a Volunteer Run Non-Profit Association.

Volunteers run our Library, American Corner Programs and Activities.  We are looking for Volunteers to Mentor and Manage the Teen Club, Assist with the Nati per Leggere program, Work at the Cinema, Help with our Morning Activities.  Send us an email.  We’ll find a role for you.  University of Trieste students in Humanities or P.R., can earn Internship Credit Hours with us (CFU).   We accept students with a minimum of 75 hours (3 CFU).  You'll have a great experience and improve your English, while you also learn valuable and people skills. Contact us!  aia.fvg@gmail.com 

AMERICAN CORNER TRIESTE – Programs, consultation of the library, public internet access computers, and Wi-Fi are always free and open to the public.  A great place to study, meet friends, bring your kids.  The US Department of State has granted us a Gold Standard rating in terms of programs, facilities, services! 2017/18 Membership Form

2017/18 Membership is valid from September 1, 2017 until August 31, 2018. If you are also taking a class with us, you will need to sign our Organization and Rules Form for Classes.

Hi!  Welcome! Become a Member of the Associazione Italo Americana FVG / American Corner Trieste. We are not just a film club.  Since 1961 we have been offering a full immersion experience in English for all ages, without leaving Trieste. 

FAQ

How much does it cost to be come a member? 
€25 for "Ridotto":  Students (over age 16), Teachers, and 65 years and older
€35 for "Intero" :  Regular Adult Membership

How do I become a member?
You can come by our office and fill in our MEMBERSHIP FORM or print it at home, fill it in and scan it to us with a copy of your IBAN Payment.  
We are located in Piazza S. Antonio, 6 - Trieste - tel: 040 63 03 01, aia.fvg@gmail.com.  Regular Office Hours: Monday to Friday 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 9-noon. (Reduced hours in the summer, Closed 3 weeks in August, Closed for Christmas Vacation)

How can I pay?
We accept Cash, Checks, IBAN (if you pay by IBAN please specify in the request your first and last name and that is for Iscrizione Socio 2017/18).  Bring a print of your IBAN Payment when you fill in your MEMBERSHIP FORM  to receive your membership card and your receipt. You can also print the MEMBERSHIP FORM and scan it to us or bring in your filled out copy.  Our IBAN is: IT 05 M 02008 02230 000005261887 - Associazione Italo Americana FVG.

How long is my membership valid?

Membership lasts for 1 school year from September 1, 2017 until August 31, 2018. You must renew each year. 

What do I get with my Membership?

- American Film Series (in English) at the Teatro dei Fabbri - 9 films (Oct - May) always on Thursdays - First Film: October 26th - Hidden Figures.

- Use of our fantastic American Corner Library - with over 5,000 books, 1,500 DVD's, magazines available in lending.  We are also a great place to study if you are downtown.

Sorry, you have to be a member.  We cannot sell single tickets.

Can my partner go to the movies too?

Of course, but they have to become a member.

When is the first film?

Thursday, October  -  with showtimes at 1:30 ,4:00, 6:30, 9 p.m.  

In case you were wondering, we are a volunteer run non-profit association.  We have over 60 volunteers!  Become a volunteer.

• ·         L’iscrizione è garantita soltanto nel momento in cui si effettua il pagamento.
• ·         Informarci di qualsiasi variazione nei vostri contatti.

ORGANIZZAZIONE E REGOLAMENTO DEI CORSI

ANNO ASSOCIATIVO 2017/18

QUOTA ASSOCIATIVA

L’anno associativo inizia il primo di settembre e si conclude il 31 agosto.

Soltanto i soci possono frequentare la rassegna di film in lingua originale e prendere in prestito libri, dvd e riviste.

Il pagamento della quota associativa può essere effettuato sia in contanti, presso la nostra segreteria durante l’orario amministrativo, sia con bonifico, senza variazione di costo.

CORSI

Per poter frequentare i nostri corsi è necessario che lo studente che ha più di 16 anni sia iscritto come socio e nel caso di studenti con età inferiore a 16 anni che un membro della famiglia sia socio per l’anno sociale in corso.

Il pagamento dei corsi può essere effettuato in contanti presso la nostra segreteria durante l’orario amministrativo oppure con bonifico. In quest’ultimo caso si ha diritto a uno sconto del 5%.

I pagamenti devono essere effettuati anticipatamente all’inizio di ogni sessione altrimenti non è consentito frequentare le lezioni.

Non sono previste lezioni di prova tranne in occasione degli open day.

È possibile effettuare spostamenti da un corso a un altro solo previa autorizzazione da parte della segreteria.

È possibile iscriversi solo entro le prime 3 lezioni della sessione e in ogni caso previa approvazione da parte della segreteria.

I corsi dell’Associazione seguono il calendario scolastico regionale e per ogni sessione tutti i corsi prevedono uno stesso numero di lezioni (a seconda delle festività coinvolte potrà variare il termine della sessione per i diversi corsi).

ASSENZE

In caso di assenze non è previsto nessun recupero né rimborso.

In casi eccezionali rivolgersi alla direzione.

PER I GENITORI

Vi preghiamo di tenerci sempre aggiornati in caso di variazioni dei vostri contatti e dei numeri telefonici per qualsiasi eventualità.

Vi chiediamo di informarci se i vostri figli hanno allergie alimentari o seguono diete specifiche. 

Vi preghiamo di essere sempre puntuali sia all’inizio che alla fine della lezione.

Fall English Class Registration

Registration is open for our Fall 2017/18 English Classes for Kids and Adults at Associazione Italo Americano FVG.

You can register directly online for your class. No payments for September classes can be accepted until Sepember 1st.
You can also reserve a free trial lesson the week of September 4th.
