Nov. 29th - 7:30 - 11 pm - A Family Style Thanksgiving - Members and their Families only- Prepaid reservation required. See our Blog for Details. It's a Pot Luck. We make the turkey and Americans bring sides dishes and Italians bring Dessert. Everybody brings a drink to share! Food, Live Music with 5 + 1, Lots of Fun!

US Citizen Services at American Corner Trieste - Nov. 24, 2014

On November 24, 2014, the Head of US Consular Affairs from the US Consulate General Milan will be in Trieste to offer CONSULAR SERVICES for US CITIZENS (passport applications, notarial services, Social Security Number card applications). 
 
3-5:30 pm– Appointments for US CITIZENS (passports, notary services, Social Security Card Applications) - by appointment. Contact aia.fvg@gmail.com to set up an appointment.

6-8 pm Question and Answer Session –. No Visa application Visa issues can be handled. Open to the public.

In order to get detailed information on: forms, procedures, and applicable fees, please visit the US Embassy website at http://italy.usembassy.gov/acs.html. Passport application forms should be filled out on line and printed out in advance of the appointment.

Consular service fees for passport or notarial services will have to be paid for by an assegno circolare (cashier’s check), issued by an Italian bank in the exact € amount of the fee, and made out to the U.S. Consulate General Milan. We will not be able to accept cash or credit cards for payment.

In you are interested in applying for a Social Security Number Card, these applications will be accepted as well. These services carry no fee, but applicants should be instructed to speak to the Federal Benefits office in the US Embassy in Rome (which handles Social Security matters) beforehand and get a list of all the documents required to support the application. L'importo dovuto per passaporti e/o servizi notarili devono essere pagati tramite assegno circolare (cashier’s check), da una banca italiana con la cifra esatta in Euro, a nome di "U.S. Consulate General Milan". Non potremo accettare contanti o carte di credito per il pagamento.

Se dovrete richiedere una carta di Social Security, i moduli possono essere consegnati. FAMILY STYLE THANKSGIVING DINNERNovember 29, 2014, 7:30 pm - ?
(Yes, we know that Thanksgiving is officially on Thursday, November 27th). 
It was so much fun last year, that we’re repeating the format this year!
LIMITED to 100 participants. 
RESERVATION and PAYMENT REQUIRED to block your place. 2014/15 MEMBERS ONLY.  Contribution €15 for Adults, €5 for children age 12 and under.  DEADLINE for Pre- Paid Reservations:  November 25th.  The Association will be cooking the Turkeys.  The rest is a Pot Luck!  North Americans bring assigned Hors d'oeuvres and Side dishes.  Everybody else brings Dessert.  All participants bring beverages (wine or whatever you prefer to drink) and their appetites.  Live music by the Five plus One Group with Judy Moss.
We will need volunteer crews for American Cooking School, Set-up and Clean-up.
 
AMERICAN COOKING SCHOOL:  THANKSGIVING
Nov. 28th10 am to 7 pm – Limited to 10 people.  Send an e-mail to participate aia.fvg@gmail.com  We need 5 people in the morning and 5 in the afternoon.  Learn how to prepare a Thanksgiving Feast with all the Fixings – Turkey, Stuffing, Succotash, Corn Bread, Pumpkin Pie and more.  Gabrielle, our Culinary Institute of America Graduate, will put us to all work and teach us the tricks of the trade.
 
WINE, CHEESE and BOOKS – November 18th at 8 pm

every Friday afternoon from 4:30 – 6:30.  Open to all Middle and High School Students.  Volunteering, Games, Films, Lego Mindstorms, Karoake – The sky’s the limit!FAMILY DATE NIGHT, Nov. 14th,  5 – 7 pm  - POCAHONTAS (Disney animated musical 81 min.) – Open to the Public.  Bring your kids, see the movie and go for a pizza afterwards!
