On Monday, May 23, 2016 the Vice Consul of US Consular Affairs from the US Consulate General Milan will be at the American Corner Trieste to offer CONSULAR SERVICES for US CITIZENS (passport applications, notarial services, Social Security Number card applications, Notary Services).
 


10 – 12:30 -  Appointments for US CITIZENS (Passports, Report of Birth / Death Abroad, Notary Services, Social Security Card Applications) - by appointment onlyContact aia.fvg@gmail.com to set up an appointment.

2 – 4 pm - U.S. Voter Registration Program – The Vice Consul will explain the Absentee Voting Process for U.S. Citizens Abroad and help U.S. Citizens Register to Vote.  Open to the public. 

American Citizens can vote, wherever they are.  If your are an American citizen and have never lived or voted in the U.S., you have the right to vote.  If you will be 18 years old by election day (November 8, 2016), you can pre-register to vote.  If you cannot come to the presentation, you can register on your own at this link:  www.fvap.gov

In order to get detailed information on: forms, procedures, and applicable fees, please visit the US Embassy website at http://italy.usembassy.gov/acs.html. Passport application forms should be filled out on line and printed out in advance of the appointment. 

Consular service fees for passport or notarial services will have to be paid for by an assegno circolare (cashier’s check), issued by an Italian bank in the exact € amount of the fee, and made out to the U.S. Consulate General Milan. We will not be able to accept cash or credit cards for payment.

In you are interested in applying for a Social Security Number Card, these applications will be accepted as well. These services carry no fee, but applicants should be instructed to speak to theFederal Benefits office in the US Embassy in Rome (which handles Social Security matters) beforehand and get a list of all the documents required to support the application. Il lunedì 23 maggio 2016 dalle 10 alle 12:30, il vice console dall’US Consolato Generale di Milano sarà a Trieste per offrire SERVIZI CONSOLARI ai CITTADINI degli STATI UNITI (rinnovo o richiesta passaporto, servizi notarili, report of birth abroad, richiesta carta di Social Security).

Ore 10.00 – 12.30 – Appuntamenti per Cittadini Americani (passaporti, notaio, report of birth / death abroad, richiesta per codice di Social Security).   Scrivere a aia.fvg@gmail.com per fissare un appuntamento.

Ore 14.00 – 16.00 – Registrazione di Cittadini USA per Votare – il vice console spiegherà la procedura per cittadini residenti all’estero registrarsi per le elezioni.  Ingresso Libero.

Per avere dettagli riguardante: moduli, procedure, costi, guardare il sito dell’Ambasciata: at http://italy.usembassy.gov/acs.html I moduli per passaporti devono essere compilati e stampati prima dell’appuntamento.

L'importo dovuto per passaporti e/o servizi notarili devono essere pagati tramite assegno circolare (cashier’s check), da una banca italiana con la cifra esatta in Euro, a nome di "U.S. Consulate General Milan". Non potremo accettare contanti o carte di credito per il pagamento.

Se dovrete richiedere una carta di Social Security, i moduli possono essere consegnati. Questo servizio e gratuito, ma sarebbe opportuno parlare con il Federal Benefits Office dell’US Embassy Rome (che gestisce le procedure di Social Security) in anticipo e procurare i documenti necessari per la domanda.
