Italian for Foreigners Conversation Done for the Season

Thank you to Simonetta and Andrea for volunteering their time to run those conversation hours! We are still running Italian for Foreigners classes, however, contact us for information.

1,000 Peace Cranes on Display

1,000 Peace Cranes for the victims of the Tsunami in Japan.
Come and view the labor of love and patience created by our member Kathy Hisamatsu as a sign of peace and hope for the people and animals in Japan who were hit by the tsunami.

Kathy will discuss her work of art on May 30th at 6:30 p.m.
At the end of the month, the peace cranes will be shipped to Matsushima in the Mayagi Prefecture, Japan.

Intensive English Courses



Summer is almost here ... so it must be time for Intensive Courses.


Presentation of Courses: May 30, 2011 at 18:30


High School - from June 6th until July 6th - Mondays and Wednesdays from 18:30 until 20:30- 5 weeks -Cost: €250 + membership

Adult Intermediate / Advanced - from June 7th until July 7th-Tuesdays and Thursdays from 19 until 21 -5 weeks- Cost: €250 + membership

Membership applies to the 2011/2012 year (Cinema Series, Monday Nights, Library use, Special programs, etc.)


Real Science Lecture Cancelled - May 26th

The final lecture in our Real Science in Trieste series has been cancelled due to scheduling problems.
The series has been so interesting and we have had so many other local scientists volunteer, that we will plan another science series next year. We'll have to wait until the 2011/2012 series to learn about Chaos in nature and in mathematics!
