Nov. 17th, 5-6 pm  - STORYTIME BORN to READ - GUEST READER – BETH HOLLAND @ American Corner Trieste – Open to the Public
The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt and illustrations by Oliver Jeffers.
Beth Holland, expert in mobile learning, K-8 education, and differentiated instruction will be reading in English.  Nati per Leggere / Born to Read is an international non-profit program to encourage children to read from a very early age.

Nov. 18th,  5- 6 pmCONFERENCE:  FROM LIBRARY to LEARNING COMMONS (full-service learning, research, and project space) – Open to the Public at American Corner Trieste.  With the endorsement of Associazione Italiana Biblioteche.
Speaker – BETH HOLLAND – educator, technology innovation education specialist.
The role of physical libraries when every student potentially has a global, virtual library in their pocket. How access impacts reading, writing, and research. The impact of technology and the transformation of libraries from physical repositories to global learning.

Nov. 24th- the Head of Consular Affairs from the US Consulate General Milan will be at the American Corner Trieste to offer CONSULAR SERVICES for US CITIZENS and answer questions for US Citizens.  Appointments for US CITIZENS (passports, notary services, Social Security Card Applications) - by appointment.  Contact to set up an appointment.  In order to get detailed information on: forms, procedures, and applicable fees, visit the US Embassy website at application forms should be filled out on line and printed out in advance of the appointment.
