New York, South Bronx, il 41st Police District, known as Fort Apache, because it is the only safe place in the area. A neighborhood known for poverty, crime, delinquents. Unethical policemen go to work here; the main character Murphy is a man who is often in conflict with his bosses, but basically a good and honest cop.

The WASPs (Womens Airforce Service Pilots) from World War II.  Over 1,000 women left their homes to become pilots to help the war effort.  Until recently they were not recognized as veterans and had no benefits.  Their stories through interviews, photo archives, videos.

The series follows the people in a police station in what might be Chicago. Capitain Frank Furillo, recovering alcoholic and divorced. His ex-wife, Fay, also works in the station, as does Joyce the lawyer, Sargeant Esterhaus, Vietnam Vet Leutenant Hunter and many others.

Feb. 22nd at 6 p.m. and Feb. 23rd at 10 a.m.,

RED TAILS feature film starring Cuba Gooding Jr., produced by George Lucas - 125 min.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. 

Red Tails is the real story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the special Afro-American pilots in WWII who led heroic missions during World War II, but were discriminated against back in the US. 

On a side note, some of the scenes were filmed in Montona, Rovigno, Grisignana.  You'll recognize them immediately!

  Some of you might remember Dr. Eugene Richardson, former Tuskegee Airman, who visited us last year and spoke about Civil Rights.
