We LOVE November. Gobble gobble! The Association turns 50 (don’t we look young??) and Thanksgiving is coming up. Boy, do we have LOTS to be thankful for this year… Here’s what’s happening in November.

THANKSGIVING: This traditional turkey dinner is a fundraiser for the Association. Spread the word. Seating is limited and must be reserved and paid for by November 18.
November 24, 2011, 8:00p.m. Bottega del Vino, Courtyard of San Giusto Castle
Cost:
Euro 40 for Adults and Euro 15 for children (up to12 years old)
Reservations: Pass by the Association, make your reservation, pay, get your receipt.
DEADLINE: November 18

TGI THURSDAY – Adult Coffee Hour, Via Roma 15
November 10, 2011 10a.m.-noon
Have a cup of coffee and enjoy some English conversation. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

2ND Annual Saturday Game Day in the Library
November 12th , 4 – 7 p.m.
Something for all ages and styles…Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, Candyland, Twister, Wii Sports and any other game you want to bring! OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Library News
We have just received our new books and DVD’s for the year. There is something for everyone: The Help, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, Freedom and lots of children’s books. As we get things catalogued, they go on the shelves! DVD’s include Herbie the Love Bug, all of the movies from last year’s film series and much much more!

50th Anniversary News
We are proud to announce that the Association has received a generous grant from the US Government to support 50th anniversary associations including cooking classes and the America in Trieste walking tour, which will debut this month for Association volunteers and Robert Palladino, the US Consulate’s new Public Affairs Officer.

Upcoming events
Cookie Fest and Santa Visit– This event is on Friday, December 2nd from 5-7 p.m. Get ready!
